A contemporary exhibition space for artists, curators and artist groups in the heart of Glebe, Sydney.
Groundspace Gallery welcomes applications from artists, curators and artist groups for solo and group exhibitions. Located at 70 Glebe Point Road, Glebe, our gallery offers two exhibition areas — the Front Gallery and Rear Gallery — suitable for painting, photography, works on paper, sculpture and other approved contemporary art practices. All exhibition proposals, participating artists and artworks are subject to review and approval by Groundspace Gallery.
Gallery Hire
October – December 2026
Front Gallery — AUD $950 per week, including GST
January – June 2027
Front Gallery — AUD $1,150 per week, including GST
Rear Gallery Add-on
AUD $450 per week, including GST
Minimum hire period: 1 week
Gallery sales commission: 20%
The Front Gallery may be hired independently.
The Rear Gallery is not available for separate hire and may only be added when the Front Gallery is hired at the same time, subject to availability and gallery approval.
What’s Included
The gallery hire fee includes:
Use of the approved exhibition space
Existing professional hanging system
Gallery lighting
Electricity and water
Reasonable use of existing plinths, where available
Basic installation and deinstallation access
Standard exhibition promotion through Groundspace Gallery’s own channels

Wednesday – Sunday
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Installation
Monday
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Deinstallation
From 4:00 pm on the final day of the exhibition
Artwork & Insurance
Artists are responsible for the packing, delivery and collection of their artworks and for arranging appropriate artwork insurance. Groundspace Gallery’s public liability insurance does not provide insurance cover for individual artworks.

Additional services may be available by prior arrangement and may incur additional fees, including:
