Kim de Haan
Kim de Haan’s work is inspired by the dynamic rock formations found along Sydney’s coastline. Kim is particularly fascinated by the geometry of these intertidal zones, where the threshold between land and water is ever shifting.
A decade of professional experience in architecture and furniture design gives Kim a unique perspective. Kim’s artistic practice blends elements of geometric precision with the organic forms found in nature.
Drawing upon a background in design, Kim’s process involves distilling the essence of coastal landscapes into simple minimalist forms, resulting in artworks that are both abstract and deeply rooted in the natural world. Kim loves using mixed media, creating works that invite viewers to meditate on the subtle beauty of the world around them.
Kim is currently exhibiting with Sydney Road Gallery as an associate artist.
