From the ages of 14 to 18, I was deeply immersed in painting and drawing, an early passion that set the foundation for my creative life. Inspired by the idea that “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” I pursued a career in design and advertising, later expanding into film and photography. Yet painting, my first love, was always calling me back.

In recent years, I’ve found my way back to the canvas by combining three long-held passions: painting, photography, and bushwalking through Sydney’s stunning harbour-side national parks. This intersection of nature and creativity informs my current practice.

I explore the natural patterns of the Australian landscape, with a particular focus on the plant life surrounding Sydney’s waterways, especially the distinctive forms of the Banksia. Working primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, I use brushes to build layered, bold, expressive colours that reflect my emotional connection to place. My work blurs the boundary between recognisable form and abstraction, offering vibrant, expressionist interpretations of the natural environment.
