Yaping graduated from the renowned Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China and later obtained a diploma in Art Education from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She founded New Star Art School nearly thirty years ago, which has since become one of Melbourne’s respected and influential art education institutions.

In addition to her long-standing dedication to art education, Yaping is also an active artist. She is committed to integrating Eastern and Western cultural perspectives while developing her own distinctive artistic language. She was awarded the “Best Acrylic” Prize at the prestigious St Kevin’s Art Show and has held several solo exhibitions in Melbourne, including at Five Walls Gallery, Step Gallery, and the Victorian Artists Society Gallery. More recently, she participated in a group exhibition at 45 Downstairs Flinders Lane Gallery. Her works are widely collected by private collectors.
