Amanda Mahony
finds inspiration when she is on the road, bushwalking and swimming in her local landscapes of New South Wales. Her artworks are process-based and draw upon the rich visual language of contemporary abstraction. Her subjects negotiate and unify the line between the sky and the land. They are responses to the emotions, solitude, hope and deep gratitude she finds far from the harried city.
Amanda's artwork has been featured on ABC iview's TV series OPTICS and she has been exhibited as a 2025 finalist in the 'Fairholme Open Art Prize Exhibition’, Toowoomba, QLD. She exhibits regularly at Sydney Road Gallery, an artist run cooperative gallery in Sydney's Northern Beaches. Her work is also held in private collections nationally, Hong Kong, Europe and the United States
